The LANCOM 1780EW-4G+ is a high-performance mobile VPN router designed for robust connectivity. It features a fanless, durable synthetic housing suitable for desktop or wall-mounted installation. The device supports cellular networks (LTE/UMTS), WLAN, and wired Ethernet connections, making it a versatile solution for secure networking.

Installation and Setup

Before starting, ensure the power plug is easily accessible. For desktop use, attach the provided adhesive rubber footpads. If wall-mounting, use the supplied drilling template. Keep all ventilation slots clear to prevent overheating.

• Power: Connect the power adapter and secure the bayonet connector by turning it 90 degrees clockwise.
• Antennas: Attach the supplied cellular and WLAN antennas while the device is switched off to prevent damage to the modules.
• SIM Card: Insert the SIM card into the slot until it clicks. Only insert or remove the SIM card when the device is powered off to avoid damaging the 4G module.
• Interfaces: Use the provided cables to connect your WAN modem to the ETH2 interface (green connectors) and your PC or switch to the ETH1 interface (kiwi-colored connectors).

The device features comprehensive LED indicators to monitor system health:
