The Powertech 12/24V Adjustable Reading Light (SL2382) features touch-sensitive controls for light operation, dimming, and mode selection. The device includes a built-in USB charger. It operates in two distinct modes: Normal and Peaceful.
Operating Modes
The light features a blue indicator light when in standby mode (Power Loading). The main light is controlled via short and long touches on the touch-sensitive area.
Normal Mode
- Power Loading: Main light OFF, blue light ON.
- Turn ON: Short touch once to turn the main light ON and blue light OFF.
- Dimming: Long touch (less than 6s) to dim from 100% to 10%. A second long touch (less than 6s) dims from 10% to 100%.
- Turn OFF: Short touch again to turn the main light OFF and blue light ON.
- Memory: A third short touch turns the light ON at the last used brightness level.
Peaceful Mode
- Power Loading: Main light OFF, blue light ON.
- Turn ON: Short touch once to turn the main light ON and blue light OFF.
- Dimming: Long touch (less than 6s) to dim from 100% to 10%. A second long touch (less than 6s) dims from 10% to 100%.
- Switching to Peaceful: While the light is ON, long touch (more than 6s). The light will flash 3 times and set to 100% brightness.
- Turn OFF: Short touch to turn the main light OFF and blue light OFF.
- Memory: A third short touch turns the light ON at the last used brightness level.
- Return to Normal: Long touch (more than 6s) to return to Normal Mode.

Practical help
Common problems
