Installation Guide for SCE Solar Shield

Solar Shields are designed to lower the heat load from the sun and provide additional protection from rain and snow by shielding the top, sides, and rear of the enclosure. Please note that HLP enclosures require an additional mounting bracket for installation.

Solar Shield Assembly

1. Attach the side panels to the back plate using the included self-tapping screws.
2. Attach the top panel to the assembly using the included self-tapping screws.

EL LP Enclosure Installation

1. Align the enclosure cutouts with the Solar Shield mounting channel.
2. Secure the shield to the enclosure using the included screws.

HLP Enclosure Installation

Note: An additional mounting bracket is required for HLP enclosures.

1. Attach clip nuts (8) to the Solar Shield mounting channel.
2. Align the mounting bracket to the clip nuts.
3. Secure the bracket with the included screws.
4. Attach clip nuts (4) to the mounting bracket.
5. Align the enclosure ears to the clip nuts.
6. Secure the assembly with the included screws.

• SCE-SH1212M8: Use with SCE-12SH12**LP (Requires SCE-HM12 bracket)
• SCE-SH1616M10: Use with SCE-16SH16**LP (Requires SCE-HM16 bracket)
• SCE-SH2016M12: Use with SCE-20SH16**LP (Requires SCE-HM16 bracket)
• SCE-SH2020M12: Use with SCE-20SH20**LP (Requires SCE-HM20 bracket)
• SCE-SH2420M12: Use with SCE-24SH20**LP (Requires SCE-HM20 bracket)
• SCE-SH2424M12: Use with SCE-24SH24**LP (Requires SCE-HM24 bracket)
