The Solight 1D48 is a dual-purpose detector for carbon monoxide (CO) and flammable gases (LPG, natural gas, methane). Upon connecting to power, the device requires approximately 3 minutes to warm up and become operational. The device features an LCD display for concentration levels and an LED indicator for status (Power, Alarm, Fault).
Device Description
The device interface includes:
- LCD Display: Shows gas concentration levels. Displays "HHH" if CO exceeds 999 PPM or flammable gas exceeds 20% LEL.
- LED Indicator: Green (Power), Red (Alarm), Yellow (Fault).
- Test Button: Used for testing device functionality.
- Speaker: Emits audible alarm.
Installation
Proper placement is critical for accurate detection. Do not install near vents, fans, doors, windows, or steam sources.
- Heavier-than-air gas: Install 0.3-1m from the floor and less than 1.5m from the gas source.
- Lighter-than-air gas: Install 0.3-1.5m from the ceiling and less than 1.5m from the gas source.
Alarm and Safety
The detector triggers an alarm based on the following thresholds:
- Carbon Monoxide: 50PPM (60-90 min), 100PPM (10-40 min), 300PPM (up to 3 min), 400PPM (immediate).
- Flammable Gas: Alarm sounds if concentration is greater than 6% LEL.
If the alarm is triggered:
- Immediately close the gas supply valve.
- Open doors and windows to ventilate the area.
- If the alarm is not a false positive, call emergency services immediately.
