The Systemair EC-BASIC-U is a universal controller designed to regulate EC fans using a 0-10V signal. It utilizes a PI algorithm to compare input signals with an adjustable set point. The device is compatible with both 220V single-phase and 380V three-phase EC fans. Key configuration is performed via jumper JP1 to select between direct or reverse action.
Description
The controller is designed for demand-controlled ventilation. It is simple to install and connect, accepting 0-10V inputs from various control sensors or Building Management Systems (BMS). It conforms to CE standards EN 60730-1, EN 61000-6-3, and EN 61000-6-1.

Technical parameters

- Voltage: 85-265 V
- Power consumption: max 0.46 W
- Frequency: 50/60 Hz
- Temperature range: -20 to 50 °C
- Working range: 0-100%
Wiring
The wiring terminal block allows for power input and signal output. Ensure connections are made according to the following layout:

- Terminal 1: L (230Vac)
- Terminal 2: N (50/60 Hz)
- Terminal 4: OUT 0..10V
- Terminal 5: GND
Configuration
The controller's behavior is determined by the setting of jumper JP1:
- JP1 closed 1-2: Reverse action
- JP1 closed 2-3: Direct action
Accessories
The following electric accessories are compatible with the controller:
- Systemair-1M CO2 duct sensor (14908)
- Systemair-1 CO2 duct sensor (14906)
- Systemair-2 CO2 duct sensor (14907)

Practical help
Common problems
Check the jumper JP1 setting. JP1 closed 1-2 sets reverse action, while JP1 closed 2-3 sets direct action.
Before use
- Verify the power supply is within the 85-265V range.
- Ensure the connected fan is a compatible EC fan (220V single phase or 380V three phase).
- Confirm the control sensor or BMS provides a 0-10V signal.
- Check that the ambient temperature is between -20 and 50 °C.
Specs in practice
- Power consumption
- The controller is energy efficient, consuming a maximum of 0.46 W.
- Working range
- The output signal range is 0-100%.
Images and diagrams
- Terminals 1 and 2 are for the 230Vac power supply (L and N).
- Terminal 4 provides the 0-10V output signal.
- Terminal 5 is the GND (Ground) connection.
Model compatibility
- Compatible with 220V single phase EC fans.
- Compatible with 380V three phase EC fans.
- Accepts 0-10V input from any control sensor or BMS.
