The BERG Rally NRG Orange is a pedal go-kart designed for children. Safety is paramount: adult supervision is required at all times. The go-kart is not intended for use on public roads. Always ensure the go-kart is stored in a dry environment. The maximum user weight is 60 kg. Avoid sharp turns at high speeds to prevent tipping.

Assembly

The assembly process is detailed in the visual instructions on pages 3 through 13. Ensure all parts listed on page 3 are present before beginning. Follow the numbered steps carefully to assemble the frame, steering, wheels, and pedals.

User Guidelines

Before Use

• Adjust the seat and steering wheel to the correct position for the user.
• Check that steering, brakes, and tires are functioning correctly.
• Ensure all bolts and nuts are securely tightened.
• Verify that tire pressure meets the safety norms indicated on the tire.
• Ensure all protective covers are properly installed.

During Use

• Ride at a controlled speed.
• Always pay attention to the environment.
• Use the handbrake or back-pedal brake to stop.
• Ride on smooth surfaces without obstacles.
• Do not place objects on or against the steering wheel.

Trailer

If a trailer is attached, remember that braking distance will increase. Do not attach trailers on steep slopes. No passengers are allowed in the trailer.

Maintenance

Maintenance Scheme

Regular maintenance is essential for safety and longevity.

• Daily: Check tires for wear and correct pressure.
• Monthly: Clean and check all nuts and bolts. Check frame for cracks. Check chain tension and grease. Lubricate moving parts.
• Half-Yearly: Check bearings, chain, hub, sprockets, and axles.
• Yearly: Clean plastic parts and check for damage.

Maintenance Activities

Chain Tensioning: The go-kart has two chains. Always tension the rear/short chain first. The rear chain is correctly tensioned if the middle can be pushed 6 mm downwards. The front chain is correctly tensioned if the middle can be pushed 1 cm downwards.

Crank Adjustment: After initial use (several days of intensive use or up to two weeks of normal use), tighten the crank mounting bolts to a maximum of 30 Nm to prevent play and damage.

Warranty

The frame and other parts have a 2-year warranty from the date of purchase. Wear parts such as chains and tires are excluded from the warranty. Warranty claims require the original purchase receipt and the serial number found on the frame.
