The TESY GCV series is an electric storage water heater designed for indoor use. Before first use, ensure the unit is filled with water. The device features multiple operating modes, including manual control, Smart Control (self-learning), and Wi-Fi connectivity for remote monitoring. Regular maintenance, including cleaning the safety valve and checking the magnesium anode, is required to ensure longevity and safety.
Installation
Installation must be performed by qualified technicians. The unit should be mounted as close as possible to the hot water usage point to minimize heat loss.

- Mounting: Use the mounting brackets on the unit. Ensure the wall can support the weight. Maintain minimum clearances as specified in the dimensions diagram (e.g., 100mm from walls).
- Plumbing: Connect the cold water inlet (blue ring) and hot water outlet (red ring). A safety valve must be installed on the cold water inlet. Ensure the drain pipe from the safety valve is open to the atmosphere and protected from freezing.
- Electrical: Connect to a dedicated electrical circuit with a fuse. Ensure the unit is properly grounded. For models without a plug, use a permanent connection with a circuit breaker that disconnects all poles in case of overvoltage category III.
Operation
The control panel allows you to manage the heater's functions:
- Standby: The unit is powered but not heating. Anti-freeze protection is active.
- Manual Mode: Select desired temperatures (45°C, 60°C, 75°C) using the mode button.
- Smart Control: The unit learns your usage habits over one week to optimize energy consumption and heating schedules.
- Wi-Fi: If equipped, the Wi-Fi module allows remote control via mobile devices. The indicator light shows connection status (solid for connected, blinking for disconnected).
- Anti-Legionella: Automatically activates if the water temperature does not reach 65°C for 7 days, heating the water to 65°C for 60 minutes.
Maintenance
Regular maintenance is essential for safe operation:
- Magnesium Anode: Protects the inner tank from corrosion. It is a consumable part and should be checked and replaced periodically by a qualified technician.
- Cleaning: In areas with hard water, limescale buildup is common. Clean the unit annually to remove scale, especially if you hear whistling noises during heating.
- Safety Valve: Regularly check that the valve is not blocked.
Troubleshooting
If the unit detects a problem, all symbols turn off, and the warning symbol flashes. The number of flashes indicates the error code:
- Error 1: Lower sensor disconnected.
- Error 2: Lower sensor short circuit.
- Error 3: Upper sensor disconnected.
- Error 4: Upper sensor short circuit.
- Error 5: Dry heating detected.
- Error 6: Date and time setting error (connect to Wi-Fi to resolve).

Practical help
Common problems
This is normal, but if it gets louder over time, it indicates limescale buildup. The unit needs to be cleaned.
The unit has detected it is heating without water. Ensure the tank is filled before switching on.
Connect the unit to the Wi-Fi network 'TCHxxxxxxxx' to synchronize settings.
Before use
- Ensure the unit is filled with water before switching on.
- Verify the safety valve is installed on the cold water inlet.
- Check that the electrical connection is grounded.
- Ensure the installation location has normal fire safety.
- Confirm the water pressure does not exceed 6 atmospheres (0.6 MPa).
Specs in practice
- Smart Control
- A self-learning mode that analyzes your hot water usage habits to optimize heating and save energy.
- Anti-Legionella
- An automatic safety feature that heats water to 65°C if it hasn't reached that temperature in 7 days.

- Page 7: Shows the electrical wiring diagram and the plumbing connection schematic.
Model compatibility
- Recommended for water hardness up to 10°dH.
- In regions with harder water, annual cleaning is required.
- If water pressure exceeds 0.6 MPa, a pressure reducing valve must be installed.
