The Cool-Space 200 is an evaporative cooler designed for efficient cooling. Before operation, ensure the unit is placed on level ground with at least 3 ft (0.9 m) of clearance behind the air inlet. Always fill the reservoir with water before turning on the pump. For new cooling media, flush the system by running the pump without the fan for 5 hours.

Safety Warnings

• Electrical Shock Hazard: Always disconnect the power supply before performing any service or maintenance.
• Water Treatment: Keep water treatment tablets out of reach of children. They cause severe eye and skin damage. Wear face protection and rubber gloves when handling.
• Water Pressure: Do not connect to a water source exceeding 120 PSI to avoid permanent damage.

Assembly and Setup

Installing the Casters: Locate the four casters. Lay the box on its side, open the bottom, install the casters, then stand the cooler up.

Water Supply: Connect a standard garden hose to the female connection on the cooler.

Electrical Supply: Plug into a fused or breaker-protected circuit. Use a 12-gauge extension cord for lengths under 50 ft (15 m) and a 10-gauge cord for lengths between 50-100 ft (15-30 m).

Operation

Placement: Ensure the unit is on level ground. Avoid obstructions like racks or workbenches that interfere with airflow.

Operating Steps:

1. Fill the reservoir: Connect the water source and turn it on. The float valve will stop the flow when full.
2. Turn on the pump: For initial startup or new media, run the pump without the fan for 5 hours to saturate the media.
3. Turn on the fan: Use the control knob to adjust the fan speed.

Maintenance and Storage

Daily Maintenance: Turn off the pump 15 minutes before turning off the fan to allow pads to drain and dry, preventing mildew.

Periodic Maintenance: Drain the sump weekly for heavy use or monthly for light use. Use water treatment tablets every 3 months to prevent mineral buildup.

Cleaning: Keep cooling pads clean and dust-free. Use a soft brush and water if dirty. Never use bleach.

Storage: Remove and clean cooling pads, drain and wipe the sump dry, and cover the unit in a dry area.

Troubleshooting

If the pump motor hums but does not pump, check for obstructions in the impeller. If the breaker trips, verify the extension cord gauge and circuit rating. If the fan does not run, check the power source, capacitor, and motor connections.
