• Use the battery only with products from the manufacturer to protect it against dangerous overload.
• Keep battery packs out of the reach of children.
• In case of damage or improper use, vapours may be emitted. Ensure the area is well-ventilated and seek medical attention if necessary.
• If the battery is damaged, flammable liquid may be ejected. Avoid contact; if contact occurs, rinse with water and seek medical attention.
• Protect the battery against heat, continuous intense sunlight, fire, dirt, water, and moisture to prevent explosion and short-circuiting.

Maintenance and cleaning

Occasionally clean the ventilation slots and the terminals on the battery using a soft, clean, and dry brush.

Transport

Lithium-ion batteries are subject to Dangerous Goods Legislation. Users can transport the batteries by road without further restrictions. When shipping by third parties (e.g., air transport or forwarding agency), special requirements on packaging and labelling must be observed. Consult an expert for hazardous material when preparing the item for shipment. Only dispatch battery packs if the housing is undamaged. Tape or mask off open contacts and pack the battery so that it cannot move in the packaging.

Disposal

Do not dispose of batteries with household waste. Batteries and packaging should be sorted for environmentally friendly recycling. In EU countries, defective or used battery packs must be collected separately according to Directive 2006/66/EC.
