This document provides operating instructions for the Bosch AL 18V-44 and AL 2x18V-88 battery chargers. These chargers are designed for Bosch Li-ion batteries and POWER FOR ALL system batteries (type PBA 18V) with a capacity of 1.5 Ah or more.
Device description
The chargers feature a charging bay (2), a red indicator for temperature monitoring/errors (1), and a green battery charge indicator (3). The AL 2x18V-88 model allows for simultaneous, independent charging of two batteries.
Charging process
- Ensure the mains voltage matches the specifications on the charger's rating plate.
- Insert the mains plug into a socket.
- Insert the battery into the charging bay (2).
- Charging only occurs if the battery temperature is within the permitted range (0–45 °C).
Wall mounting
The charger can be used on a flat surface or mounted on a wall using round-head screws (5 mm to 6.5 mm diameter).
- AL 18V-44: Drill two holes with a 56 mm spacing.
- AL 2x18V-88: Drill two holes with a 168 mm spacing.
Troubleshooting
- Battery not charging, red indicator (1) flashing: Internal error. Ensure the battery is fully inserted, unplug the charger, and plug it back in. If the error persists, contact an authorized Bosch service center.
- No indicators lighting up: Defective socket, cable, or charger. Check the mains voltage or have the charger inspected by an authorized service center.
Safety and maintenance
Use the charger only in enclosed, dry spaces. Keep the charger clean to prevent electric shock. If the power cord requires replacement, it must be performed by Bosch or an authorized service center to maintain safety standards.

Battery not charging and red indicator (1) is flashing
