The Bosch GLI 18V-800 Professional is a mobile, cordless worklight designed for temporary, localized indoor illumination. It is not intended for general room lighting. Key features include a 360° rotating and 180° tilting lamp head, a utility hook for hanging, and a magnet for attachment to ferromagnetic surfaces.
Operation
Setup: Place the worklight on a stable, level surface.
Switching on/off and adjusting brightness: Use the On/Off button (1):
- 1x press: Low brightness
- 2x press: Medium brightness
- 3x press: Full brightness
- 4x press: Switch off
If the light has been on in dimmed mode for approximately 5 minutes, the next press will switch it off immediately. Folding the light with the illuminated area facing the battery holder (4) will automatically switch it off.
Battery Management
Charging: Use only recommended Bosch chargers. Lithium-ion batteries are supplied partially charged; fully charge before first use.
Inserting/Removing: Slide the battery into the holder until it clicks. To remove, press the release button and pull the battery out; do not use force.
Charge Indicator: Press the button on the battery to check the charge level (only possible when the light is switched off).
Safety Warnings
- Heat: The worklight produces intense heat. Do not cover the lamp head during operation.
- Magnets: Keep the worklight away from medical implants (e.g., pacemakers, insulin pumps) and magnetic data storage media.
- Overhead Mounting: Do not fix the worklight overhead using the magnetic mount.
- Additional Weight: Do not attach additional weight to the worklight when secured by the magnet or utility hook.
- Light Beam: Do not stare into the light beam. Keep a minimum distance of 0.1m from illuminated surfaces.
Maintenance
The worklight is maintenance-free. Clean the plastic lens only with a dry, soft cloth; do not use detergents or solvents. The light source cannot be replaced; if defective, the entire unit must be replaced.
