Quick guide from the manual

The Bosch GCG 18V-310 is a cordless caulking gun designed for applying sealants and adhesives from standard cartridges. Key operations include inserting the cartridge, adjusting the feed rate, and managing the battery. Always ensure the surface is clean, dry, and free of grease before application.

Device description

The tool features a cartridge holder, an aluminum press, a rack, and a feed rate thumbwheel. It is powered by a Bosch 18V battery.

Assembly

  1. Remove the battery before performing any work on the tool.
  2. Unlock the rack using the rack release and pull it backwards.
  3. Cut the cartridge tip and screw on a dispensing nozzle.
  4. Insert the cartridge into the holder.
  5. Carefully slide the rack forward until the aluminum press touches the cartridge.

Operation

Adjust the feed rate by pressing the on/off switch to varying extents. Use the feed rate thumbwheel to preselect the maximum speed. To switch on, push the lock down and press the on/off switch. To switch off, release the switch; the rack will automatically move to a park position to prevent further material discharge.

Safety

Always wear personal protective equipment as recommended by the consumable manufacturer, including safety goggles and gloves. Never point the tool at yourself or others. Ensure the workplace is well-ventilated when using volatile or hazardous substances.

Maintenance and cleaning

Keep the tool and ventilation slots clean. After each use, thoroughly clean the dispensing nozzles, cartridge holder, and rack with the press. The tool is maintenance-free.

Troubleshooting

If the tool switches off due to temperature-dependent overload protection, allow it to cool down before switching it back on.
