Quick guide from the manual
The Bosch Professional GFP 18V-10 is a cordless grease gun designed for lubricating moving parts via standard lubrication points. It supports 400g pull-off cartridges, 500g screw-in cartridges, and 400g screw-in cartridges. The tool features adjustable pump stroke preselection and two gear settings to regulate grease flow and pressure.
Assembly and Setup
- Shoulder strap: Hook the strap into the brackets (15).
- Hose replacement: Use a wrench to loosen the nut (21) and replace the hose (19). Tighten to 13–16 Nm.
- Cartridge installation: Unscrew the grease cylinder (12), pull the spring rod (23) out, and lock it. Insert the cartridge, remove the seal, and reattach the cylinder.
- Bleeding: Always bleed the system after changing cartridges or filling the cylinder to ensure continuous grease flow. Use the bleed valve (14) until grease escapes continuously.
Operation
- Pump stroke preselection: Use the thumbwheel (2) to set a specific number of strokes (1–50) or set to 'ON' for continuous operation.
- Gear selection: Use the switch (7) to select between Gear 1 (100 g/min, max 10,000 psi) and Gear 2 (320 g/min, 6,000–8,000 psi).
- Switching on/off: Unlock the switch using the locking mechanism (4), then press and hold the on/off switch (6). Use the lock-on button (5) for continuous operation.
Maintenance and Safety
- Pressure relief valve: If pressure exceeds 10,000 psi, the valve (18) opens and the tool shuts off automatically. Check for blockages in the hose or lubrication point.
- Cleaning: Keep the tool and ventilation slots clean.
- Battery: Remove the battery before any maintenance or cartridge changes.
