This document provides essential instructions for operating the Bosch GSC 12V-13 Professional cordless metal shears. Always ensure the battery is removed before performing any maintenance or tool changes to prevent accidental activation.
Device Description
The GSC 12V-13 is designed for cutting sheet metal without chip loss, suitable for both straight and curved cuts. Key components include the battery release button, on/off switch, chip deflector, and adjustable top and bottom cutters.

Operation
To operate, insert a charged battery until it clicks into place. Slide the on/off switch forward to position 'I' to turn on, and backward to position '0' to turn off. Hold the tool at an 80° to 90° angle to the sheet metal surface and guide it evenly without tilting it laterally.

Cutter Maintenance
The top and bottom cutters are identical and have four cutting edges each. If cutting performance drops, rotate or replace the cutters. When installing the bottom cutter, ensure it rests against the set screw. After replacement, adjust the cutter clearance 'a' to 10% of the maximum sheet thickness using the setting gauge and tighten the fastening screw to 3–4 Nm.
Safety and Maintenance
Always keep the tool and ventilation slots clean. The tool features temperature-dependent overload protection; if overloaded, the stroke rate is reduced or the tool shuts down. Allow the battery to cool before restarting. For service, contact Bosch after-sales support.
