The Bosch Professional GGP 12V-25 is a cordless pruning shear designed for professional use on branches and plants up to 25 mm in diameter. It is intended for ground-level use.
Operation
Inserting the battery: Push the charged battery (5) into the handle until it clicks into place.
Switching on (Sleep mode): Press the on/off switch (7). The battery charge indicator (8) lights up and the status LED (3) flashes. The blade (1) and jaw (10) remain stationary. An audio signal sounds once.
Activating the knife (Ready to cut): Press the cutting switch (9) twice in quick succession. The blade (1) moves to its home position. The status LED (3) switches from flashing to continuous light. An audio signal sounds twice.
Cutting: Press the cutting switch (9) until the cut is complete, then release it. The blade (1) returns to its home position.
Deactivating/locking the blade: Press and hold the cutting switch (9) for 4 seconds. The blade (1) moves to the closed position and locks. An audio signal sounds once. The status LED (3) flashes. The tool enters sleep mode and switches off after one minute.
Maintenance and Cleaning
Always remove the battery before performing any work on the tool. Clean the blade with a damp cloth after use. Do not spray or immerse the tool in water. Store in a safe, dry place out of reach of children.
Blade lubrication: Pour a small amount of oil into the oil filler opening (14) to lubricate the blade. The frequency depends on usage, branch diameter, and hardness.
Adjusting the distance between blade and jaw: If the distance is no longer optimal, loosen the screw (13), turn the lock nut (12) in the required direction, and retighten the screw (13).
Safety
Always wear protective gloves when using, adjusting, or cleaning the tool. Keep your free hand away from the cutting area. Do not use the tool in bad weather, especially when there is a risk of lightning.

Common problems
Power tool is jammed; the blade (1) returns to the open position automatically.
Temperature of battery, motor, or electronic module is too high. Allow to cool down.
Check if battery (5) is charged, on/off switch (7) is pressed, or if tool is in 'Sleep mode' (press cutting switch (9) twice).
Release cutting switch (9). Press on/off switch (7) or remove battery (5), then pull the blade (1) out of the branch slowly and in a straight line.

- Ensure the battery is fully charged.
- Check that all nuts, bolts, and screws are securely tightened.
- Inspect the blade for sharpness and cleanliness.
- Check trees and bushes for foreign objects like wire fences or hidden cables.
- Ensure the tool is clean and free of oil/grease on handles.
