Quick guide from the manual
This manual provides essential instructions for the Bosch GBH 18V-28 C and GBH 18V-28 CF cordless rotary hammers. It covers safe operation, tool setup, and maintenance. Always ensure the battery is removed before performing any maintenance or changing tools to prevent accidental startup.
Device Description
The GBH 18V-28 C and CF are designed for hammer drilling in concrete, brick, and stone, as well as light chiseling. They are also suitable for drilling without impact in wood, metal, ceramic, and plastic. Models with electronic control and right/left rotation can also be used for screwdriving.
Operation
The operating mode is selected using the impact/mode selector switch. Available modes include hammer drilling, drilling without impact, and chiseling. The Vario-Lock position allows for adjusting the chisel position to the optimal angle.
Tool Changing
The SDS-plus tool holder allows for easy tool changes without additional tools. For tools without SDS-plus, a suitable drill chuck (keyed or keyless) must be used. Ensure the dust protection cap is not damaged during operation; if damaged, it should be replaced immediately.
Safety and Maintenance
Always keep the tool and ventilation slots clean for safe operation. Use appropriate detectors to locate hidden supply lines before drilling. If the tool jams, the overload clutch will interrupt the drive to the drill spindle; hold the tool firmly with both hands to withstand the resulting forces.
Connectivity
With the Bluetooth Low Energy Module GCY 42 inserted, data and settings can be transferred between the power tool and a mobile device via Bluetooth wireless technology.
