Device Description
The GBH 18V-40 C is a cordless rotary hammer designed for hammer drilling in concrete, masonry, and stone, as well as for chiseling work. It features an SDS-max tool holder and supports Bluetooth connectivity via the GCY 42 module.
Operation
The tool features multiple operating modes, including hammer drilling and chiseling. The mode is selected using the mode selector switch. The tool also includes a 'Vario-Lock' position for adjusting the chisel position. Speed and impact rate can be adjusted by varying the pressure on the on/off switch.
Safety
Always wear hearing protection. Use the auxiliary handle provided with the tool. Hold the tool by insulated gripping surfaces when performing operations where the cutting accessory may contact hidden wiring. Ensure a stable footing and hold the tool firmly with both hands.

Common problems
Tool does not start or stops during operation
Check battery charge level. If the status indicator is red, allow the tool to cool down or replace/charge the battery.
Rapid shut-off (KickBack Control) triggered
Release the on/off switch and press it again to restart the tool.
