This manual provides essential instructions for the Bosch EasyGrassCut 18V-230, 18V-26, and 18V-260 cordless string trimmers. The device is intended for domestic use, specifically for trimming grass, weeds, and nettles in areas inaccessible to lawn mowers, such as slopes and under obstacles.

Assembly
Before starting assembly, ensure the tool is switched off and the battery is removed. Connecting the shaft: Remove the transport safety (9) and connect the shaft parts until they click into place. Note that once assembled, the shaft cannot be disassembled. Handle adjustment: Press the buttons (7) to adjust the handle (1) to the desired position. Mounting the guard: Pull the plant protection frame to the storage position, place the guard (8) on the trimmer head, and fasten it with the provided screw. Once mounted, the guard should not be removed.
Operation
Switching on/off: Press the lock-off button (3), then press and hold the On/Off switch (4). Release the switch to turn off. Trimming/Edge cutting: Rotate the handle 180° against the shaft to position the trimmer head for edge cutting. Release button (2) to lock the mechanism. Line feeding: The trimmer features a semi-automatic feeding system that releases 10 mm of line with every press of the On/Off switch. Manual feeding is possible by pressing the line-feed button (15).

Battery and Charging
The battery is equipped with temperature monitoring that allows charging only between 0 °C and 35 °C. The Li-Ion battery can be charged at any time without reducing its service life. If the battery is empty, the tool will switch off automatically via the Electronic Cell Protection (ECP) circuit.
Maintenance and Cleaning
Always remove the battery before performing maintenance. To replace the spool, press the two latches on the spool cover (11) and remove it. Remove the empty spool (12), wind approximately 4.0 m of new line onto the spool, and reassemble. Keep the trimmer clean and dry for optimal performance.

Troubleshooting
If the motor does not start, check if the battery is charged or too hot/cold. If the tool functions intermittently, contact Bosch customer service. If the tool does not cut, manually feed the line or replace the spool. For heavy vibrations, check the cutting system and remove any grass from the spool housing.
