Device Description
The garden tool is designed for raking, verticutting, or aerating lawns in private gardens. It is not intended for hedge cutting, trimming, or shredding. The device is designed for use at ground level.
Assembly and Operation
Do not connect the product to the mains until it is completely assembled. Refer to the figures in the manual for assembly steps (Figure A, B), grassbox assembly (Figure C, D), working height adjustment (Figure E), and switching on/off (Figure F for UniversalRake 900, Figure G for UniversalVerticut 1100).
Safety Warnings
- Always wear hearing protection and safety glasses.
- Do not use the product in the rain or leave it outdoors when it is raining.
- Keep the power cord away from the tines/blades.
- Switch off and remove the plug from the mains before adjusting, cleaning, or if the cable is entangled.
- The tines/blades continue to rotate for a few seconds after the machine is switched off.
- Use a Residual Current Device (RCD) with a tripping current of no more than 30 mA.
Maintenance and Cleaning
- Wear gardening gloves when handling or working near sharp tines/blades.
- Keep all nuts, bolts, and screws tight to ensure safe working.
- Check the grassbox frequently for wear or deterioration.
- Ensure the product is clean and free of residue before storage.
Troubleshooting
If the garden tool does not operate, check the power supply, mains socket, extension cable, and fuse. If the motor is overloaded, the UniversalRake 900 will drop in speed; stop and adjust to a higher working height. The UniversalVerticut 1100 has a safety cut-out; if it activates, switch off, remove the plug, clear any blockages, and wait one minute before restarting.

Common problems
Garden tool does not operate
Check power supply, try another socket, inspect extension cable, or check if the safety cut-out is active (UniversalVerticut 1100).

Inspect extension cable, check for worn/missing tines/blades, or clear any clogs underneath the tool.
Poor work performance
Increase working height, clear clogs, or check if the ground is too moist for raking/verticutting.
