Quick guide from the manual
This document provides essential operating instructions for the Bosch GNH 18V-64-2, GNH 18V-64-2 M, and GNH 18V-64 MD cordless wood nailers. These tools are designed for driving nails into wood only and are not suitable for metal or concrete.
Loading the magazine
- Remove the battery before loading.
- Clean the magazine slider and ensure the magazine is free of debris.
- Insert a suitable nail strip into the T-slot at the end of the magazine.
- Push the nail strip forward until the last nail is in front of the magazine spring.
- Press the nail pusher against the magazine slider and pull the slider to the end of the magazine.
- Carefully guide the slider forward until it engages with the nail strip.
Operation
Single actuation: The discharge lock-off must be pressed against the workpiece before pulling the trigger. After firing, both must be released before the next shot.
Contact actuation (M and MD models): The trigger is held down, and a nail is fired each time the discharge lock-off is pressed against the workpiece.
Adjusting the depth stop
Use the thumbwheel to adjust the driving depth. Turn towards '-' to reduce depth or '+' to increase depth. Verify the setting on the depth stop indicator and test on a scrap piece.
Clearing jams

- Release the trigger, switch off the tool, and remove the battery.
- Empty the magazine.
- Press the clamping lever down to open the shot duct.
- Remove the jammed nail using pliers if necessary.
- Close the shot duct and secure the clamping lever.
Maintenance
Regularly clean the magazine and the discharge lock-off mechanism using compressed air. If the tool is not working, check the battery charge, ensure it is properly inserted, or check for jammed nails. For persistent issues, contact an authorized Bosch service center.
