The Bosch GLI 18V-4000 C Professional is a portable, cordless worklight designed for temporary indoor illumination. It features Bluetooth connectivity for remote control via the Bosch Toolbox app.
Device description
The worklight includes an LED light source, a supporting leg, safety brackets to protect the light if knocked over, a carrying handle, and a tripod mount. It is powered by an 18V battery and includes a button cell for Bluetooth connectivity even when the main battery is removed.
Operation
To operate the worklight:
- Battery installation: Insert a charged 18V battery into the battery holder until it clicks.
- Switching on/off: Press the On/Off switch repeatedly to cycle through brightness levels: 1st press (dimmed, level 1), 2nd press (dimmed, level 2), 3rd press (full brightness, level 3), 4th press (off).
- Bluetooth control: Download the Bosch Toolbox app, select 'My Tools', and follow the on-screen instructions to connect.
Safety and maintenance
Important safety conditions:
- Do not direct the light beam at people or animals.
- Maintain a minimum distance of 0.2m from all illuminated surfaces to prevent overheating.
- Do not cover the lamp head during operation.
- Remove the battery before any maintenance, transport, or storage.
- The light source is not replaceable; if defective, the entire unit must be replaced.
The worklight is maintenance-free. Clean the glass lens only with a dry, soft cloth; do not use detergents or solvents.
Troubleshooting
If the Bluetooth connection fails, remove both the button cell and the main battery for 10 seconds to reset the module. If the light does not turn on after wireless charging, remove the battery for 10 seconds to re-initialize it.
