The Bosch GDE 18V-16 Professional is a dust extraction attachment designed for collecting drilling dust when drilling in concrete, brick, stone, ceramic, and tiles. It is compatible with specific Bosch rotary hammers (GBH 18V-24 C, GBH 187-LI, GBH 18V-26, GBH 18V-26 F, GBH 18V-28 C, GBH 18V-28 CF). Important: Never use the attachment without the HEPA filter installed to prevent damage to the power tool and dust exposure.
Assembly
To attach the device, align the guide groove on the rotary hammer with the housing guide on the attachment and slide it on until it audibly clicks into place. To remove, press and hold the release button and pull the attachment off the rotary hammer.
Operation
To insert a drill bit, press the drill bit length adjustment button and pull the guide all the way out. Slide the drill bit tip through the dust cap from behind and insert it into the chuck according to your power tool's instructions. Adjust the guide length so the drill bit tip is flush with the front of the dust cap for optimal extraction.
Drilling Depth Adjustment
Press the depth stop adjustment button and slide it along the guide until the distance X matches your required drilling depth.
Maintenance and Cleaning
Empty the dust box regularly and after every use to maintain optimal suction. Use the viewing window to check the fill level. To empty, hold the tool horizontally and run it for a few seconds to clear the extraction channel. Press the release buttons to remove the dust box. If necessary, remove the HEPA filter and gently tap it or brush it with a soft brush. Note: Do not clean the HEPA filter with water or compressed air.
