Quick guide from the manual
This manual provides instructions for the Bosch EasyGrassCut 18V-230, 18V-26, and 18V-260 grass trimmers. Key operations include assembling the shaft, mounting the protection guard, and adjusting the handle. The trimmer features a semi-automatic line feeding system that advances 10 mm of line with every press of the on/off switch.
Assembly and Operation
Assembly: Remove the transport safety (9). Connect the shaft parts until they click into place. Mount the protection guard (8) using the provided screw. Adjust the handle (1) by pressing the buttons (7) and moving it to the desired position.
Operation: To switch on, press the lock-off button (3) and then the on/off switch (4). To switch off, release the switch. To switch between lawn trimming and edge cutting, rotate the handle 180° against the shaft.
Battery and Charging
The battery is equipped with temperature monitoring (0°C to 35°C). Charge the battery fully before first use. The battery can be charged at any time without reducing its service life. If the battery is empty, the product is switched off by a protective circuit.
Maintenance and Troubleshooting
Always remove the battery before cleaning or maintenance. To replace the spool, remove the spool cover (11), take out the empty spool (12), wind new line (approx. 4.0 m) onto the spool, and reassemble. If the motor does not start, check if the battery is charged or if it is too hot/cold. For heavy vibrations, check the cutting system and remove any grass from the spool housing or line feed hole.
