Quick guide from the manual
This document provides essential instructions for the safe and effective use of the Bosch EasyGrassCut 23 and 26 grass trimmers. Always ensure the power is disconnected before performing any maintenance, cleaning, or spool adjustments. The tool is designed for domestic grass trimming and is not intended for heavy-duty brush cutting or commercial use.
Assembly
The trimmer requires minimal assembly:
- Shaft: Connect the shaft parts until they audibly engage. Note that once connected, the shaft cannot be disassembled.
- Handle: Adjust the handle position by pressing the release buttons (5) and moving it to the desired angle.
- Protection Guard: Before mounting, pull the plant protection bracket from the delivery position to the storage position. Attach the guard (6) to the trimmer head using the provided screw. Once attached, do not disassemble the guard.
Operation
Always hold the trimmer firmly with both hands. To switch on, press the lock-off button (2) followed by the On/Off switch (3). To switch off, release the switch. The cutting head continues to rotate for a few seconds after switching off; wait for it to stop completely before placing the tool down.
Line Spool Maintenance
The trimmer features a semi-automatic line feeding system that advances the line each time the On/Off switch is pressed. If the line needs manual adjustment, press the line-feed button (13) and pull the line to the desired length.
To replace the spool:
- Disconnect the mains plug.
- Press the latches on the spool cover (9) and remove it, then remove the empty spool (10).
- Cut approximately 4.0 m of new line.
- Insert one end into the spool hole (11) and wind the line uniformly and tightly.
- Thread the other end through the guide hole (12) in the trimmer head and reassemble the spool and cover.
Safety and Maintenance
Always wear eye and ear protection. Do not use the tool in the rain. Keep the power cord away from the cutting line and moving parts. Regularly inspect the cord for damage.
