Quick guide from the manual

This document provides essential operating instructions for the Bosch EasyHedgeCut 18V-45, 18V-52-13, and 18V-44-11 cordless hedge trimmers. Always ensure the battery is removed before performing any maintenance or adjustments.

Operation

To start the hedge trimmer, insert the battery until it clicks, then simultaneously press the front switch and the rear handle switch. To stop the tool, release either or both switches.

Working advice

Move the hedge trimmer evenly along the cutting line. The double-sided blade allows for cutting in both directions or with a side-to-side motion. For straight sides, cut from bottom to top in the direction of growth. To achieve a level top, use a string as a guide.

Anti-blocking mechanism

If the blade stalls on tough material, the motor load increases. The intelligent micro-electronics will automatically reverse the motor to clear the obstruction. If the overload persists, the blades will stop in the open position.

Battery care

Protect the battery from moisture and water. Store only within the temperature range of -20 °C to 50 °C. Clean ventilation slots occasionally with a soft, dry brush. A significantly reduced operating time after charging indicates the battery is worn out and needs replacement.

Maintenance and cleaning

Always remove the battery before transport or storage. After use, clean the hedge trimmer with a damp cloth and apply Bosch lubricant spray to the blades. The blades are very sharp; wear resistant work gloves when handling.
