The Bosch EasyInflate 18V-500 is a cordless air pump designed for inflating large-volume items like air mattresses, inflatable boats, or pool toys. It is not suitable for high-pressure applications like bicycle tires. The device is intended for household and domestic use only.
Device description
The air pump features an air inlet (2) for deflation and an air outlet (3) for inflation. It operates using a Bosch 18V battery (not included in all packages). The device includes a hose (4) and an adapter nozzle (8) for various valve types.
Operation
- Battery: Insert a charged battery into the holder until it clicks.
- Setup: Attach the hose (4) and/or adapter nozzle (8) to the air outlet (3) for inflation, or to the air inlet (2) for deflation. Turn clockwise until it stops.
- Switching on: Slide the on/off switch (6) to the 'On' position.
- Monitoring: Regularly check the pressure of the item being inflated or deflated.
- Switching off: Slide the on/off switch (6) to the 'Off' position once the desired pressure is reached.
Battery management
The battery charge level can be checked via the indicator on the air pump (when switched on) or on the battery itself (by pressing the button). If the LEDs flash rapidly, the battery is outside the operating temperature range or the overload protection has been triggered.
Maintenance and cleaning
Always remove the battery before performing any maintenance or tool changes to prevent accidental activation. Keep the air pump and ventilation slots clean for safe and efficient operation.

Battery charge indicator flashes rapidly
The battery temperature is outside the operating range or the overload protection has been triggered.
Reduced operating time after charging
The battery is likely worn out and needs to be replaced.
Before use
- Ensure the battery is fully charged.
- Check that the air inlet (2) is not covered.
- Select the correct adapter nozzle (8) for the item's valve.
- Ensure the hose (4) or nozzle is securely attached by turning clockwise until it stops.
- Remove any valve seals from the item to be inflated.
