Quick guide from the manual
The Bosch EasySaw 18V-70 is a cordless jigsaw designed for straight and curved cuts in wood, plastic, metal, ceramic plates, and rubber. It features stroke rate control and is compatible with Bosch 18V batteries.

Assembly
Always remove the battery before performing any maintenance or changing accessories to prevent accidental startup.
- Battery Charging: Use only recommended chargers. The battery is partially charged upon delivery; charge it fully before first use.
- Blade Installation: Wear protective gloves. Clean the blade shaft before insertion. Push the blade receptacle (14) upwards, insert the blade (10) until it stops, and ensure the back of the blade rests in the guide roller (12) groove.
- Cut Control: Attach the Cut Control viewing window (11) to the base (9) and click it into the guide (19) on the base plate (7).
Operation
The jigsaw features a lock-off function (1) for the on/off switch (2). The stroke rate is controlled by the pressure applied to the on/off switch.
- Mitre/Bevel Angle: The base plate (7) can be swiveled up to 45° left or right. Loosen the base plate screw (23), adjust to the desired angle using the scale (22), and retighten the screw.
- Plunge Cutting: Only for soft materials like wood or gypsum board. Use short blades and a 0° mitre angle.
- Parallel Guide/Circle Cutter: For parallel or circular cuts, use the parallel guide (27). Ensure the workpiece is no thicker than 30 mm.
Maintenance
Keep the tool and ventilation slots clean. Regularly clean the saw blade receptacle. Lubricate the guide roller (12) occasionally with a drop of oil. If the guide roller is worn, it must be replaced by an authorized Bosch service center.

Common problems
Check battery charge level. If the battery is empty, the tool will shut off. If the battery is outside the operating temperature range (-20 to +50 °C) or overload protection is triggered, the LEDs on the charge indicator will flash rapidly.
Ensure the blade is inserted fully into the receptacle and that the back of the blade is properly seated in the guide roller groove.
Switch off the tool, disconnect the extraction system, and remove the dust and chips.
Before use
- Ensure the battery is fully charged.
- Check that the saw blade is sharp, undamaged, and correctly installed.
- Verify that the base plate is securely fastened.
- If using dust extraction, ensure the adapter and hose are properly connected.
- Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (safety glasses, dust mask).
