Table of contents

Quick guide from the manual

The Bosch Fontus 18V is a cordless pressure washer designed for domestic use. It can be fed from its internal water tank or a mains water connection. It is suitable for cleaning vehicles, tools, windows, boats, bicycles, outdoor toys, greenhouses, and garden furniture. A low-pressure mode is available for cleaning pets.

Operation

Always use fresh water to fill the internal tank. Ensure the filter (10) is inserted and undamaged. Connect the hose (4) to the water outlet (9) and the spray gun (18). Select the desired spray pattern by rotating the nozzle head (1) and adjust the jet strength using the pressure selector (12). Press the On/Off switch (13) and hold the trigger (2) until water flows.

Battery Handling

The battery is equipped with temperature monitoring that allows charging only between 0 °C and 35 °C. The battery is supplied partially charged; charge it fully before the first use. The Li-ion battery can be charged at any time without reducing its service life. The Electronic Cell Protection (ECP) protects the battery against deep discharge.

Maintenance and Storage

Before storage, switch off the machine and press the trigger to drain water from the hose. Disconnect the hose from the spray gun and water outlet. Drain the water from the system and remove the battery. Clean the filter regularly. Store the machine and battery in a temperature range between -20 °C and 50 °C.

Troubleshooting

If the machine does not power up, check if the battery is discharged, too hot/cold, or if the machine is frozen. If pressure is pulsating, clean the nozzle or operate in turbo-pressure mode to remove air from the pump. If the motor runs but there is no pressure, refill the water tank or hold the trigger to vent the pump.
