Device Description
The tool features an SDS max tool holder, a combi-switch for selecting operating modes (hammer drilling, chiseling, Vario-Lock), and a user interface for monitoring status and selecting working modes. It supports Bluetooth connectivity via the optional GCY 42 module.
Safety Instructions
- Always wear hearing protection.
- Use the auxiliary handle provided with the tool to maintain control.
- Hold the tool by insulated gripping surfaces when performing operations where the cutting accessory may contact hidden wiring.
- Ensure a stable footing and hold the tool firmly with both hands.

Operation
Setting the Operating Mode: Use the combi-switch to select the desired mode. Only change the mode when the tool is switched off.
Switching On/Off: Press the on/off switch to start. The work light illuminates automatically. Release the switch to stop.
Adjusting Speed/Impact Rate: Regulate the speed by varying the pressure on the on/off switch or via the user interface/smartphone app.
Vario-Lock: Allows locking the chisel in 16 different positions for optimal working angles.
Maintenance and Cleaning
- Remove the battery before any maintenance or tool changes.
- Keep the tool and ventilation slots clean for safe operation.
- Replace a damaged dust protection cap immediately.
- Clean the tool holder after each use.
Troubleshooting
The user interface provides status indications. If the status indicator flashes red, the rapid shut-off (KickBack Control) has been triggered; release and press the on/off switch again to restart. If the temperature indicator is yellow or red, allow the tool to cool down.

Common problems
Tool does not start or stops during operation
Check battery charge level. If the status indicator is red, the tool may be overheated or the battery empty. Allow to cool or charge/replace the battery.
Rapid shut-off (KickBack Control) triggered
The tool has detected a sudden, unexpected rotation. Release the on/off switch and press it again to restart.
Tool performance is reduced
Check the temperature indicator. If yellow, the tool or battery is overheating; allow to cool down.
Before use
- Ensure the battery is fully charged.
- Check that the dust protection cap is not damaged.
- Ensure the auxiliary handle is securely tightened.
- Verify the correct operating mode is selected on the combi-switch.
- Ensure the Bluetooth module cover is closed if the module is installed.
