Quick guide from the manual
The Bosch GDE 28 D Professional is a dust extraction attachment designed for drilling in concrete and masonry. It is compatible exclusively with the GBH 18V-28 DC rotary hammer. It is intended for occasional drilling with smaller diameters. For long-term use or large diameters, use GDE 16 Plus or GDE 68 with an external vacuum cleaner.
Assembly
Align the guide bore (13) of the rotary hammer with the housing guide (12) of the dust extraction attachment and slide it on until it audibly engages. To disconnect, press and hold the release button (8) and pull the attachment off.

Operation
Important: Never use the attachment without a filter. Always hold the power tool by its handle and auxiliary handle, not by the dust extraction attachment. Ensure a stable footing while working.
Drill bit insertion
Press the drill bit length adjustment button (6) and pull the guide (5) out. Insert the drill bit through the dust cap (3) and into the chuck according to the power tool's instructions.
Adjusting guide length
Press the button (6) and adjust the guide (5) so the drill bit tip is flush with the dust cap (3).
Adjusting drilling depth
Press the depth stop adjustment button (4) and slide it on the guide (5) to set the required depth X.
Maintenance and Cleaning
Empty the dust box (9) regularly. Hold the tool horizontally and run it for a few seconds to clear the extraction channel. Press the release button (7) to remove the dust box, open the flap (15), and empty it. Clean the HEPA filter (16) by tapping it or using a soft brush. Do not use compressed air. Use the mechanical filter cleaning wheel (10) regularly by turning it clockwise until it clicks at least three times.
