The Bosch GDS 18V-400 is a cordless impact wrench designed for driving and loosening screws and bolts, as well as tightening and loosening nuts. Key features include the ABR (Auto Bolt Release) function, which automatically stops the tool when a nut is loosened to prevent it from falling.

Device description
The tool features a 1/2" square tool holder, a belt clip, and an LED work light (PowerLight). The ABR function can be toggled using a dedicated button, with an LED indicator showing its status.
Assembly
Always remove the battery before performing any maintenance, changing tools, or transporting the device to prevent accidental activation. Slide the charged battery into the base of the tool until it locks securely.
Operation
The tool operates via an electric motor, gear, and impact mechanism. The impact mechanism activates once the screw connection becomes tight and the motor is under load. To change the rotational direction, use the switch on the side of the tool. Ensure the rotational direction switch is in the center position when not in use to prevent accidental startup.
Maintenance and cleaning
Regularly clean the ventilation slots to prevent metal dust accumulation, which can cause electrical hazards. Always remove the battery before cleaning or performing maintenance.
