Device Description
The GEX 12V-125 is a cordless random orbit sander designed for dry sanding of wood, plastic, filler, and coated surfaces. Key components include the on/off switch, orbital stroke rate preselection thumbwheel, sanding disc, and dust extraction system.
Assembly
Changing the Sanding Sheet: Lift the old sheet from the side and pull it off the sanding pad. Clean the pad with a brush before attaching a new sheet. Ensure the holes in the sanding sheet align with the holes in the sanding pad for optimal dust extraction.
Changing the Sanding Pad: If the sanding pad is damaged, remove the sanding sheet, unscrew the 4 screws (using a T20 screwdriver), and remove the pad. Attach the new pad and retighten the screws, ensuring the teeth of the catch mate with the recesses in the pad.
Operation
Switching On/Off: Press the on/off switch to start the tool. Press it again to switch off. Ensure you can operate the switch without releasing the handle.
Preselecting Orbital Stroke Rate: Use the thumbwheel to select the required stroke rate (1–6) based on the material and working conditions. After extended use at a low rate, run the tool at maximum speed for 3 minutes without load to cool it down.
Dust Extraction
Self-generated extraction: Attach the dust bag to the extraction outlet until it is flush. Empty the bag regularly for optimal performance. When working on vertical surfaces, hold the tool so the dust bag faces downward.
External extraction: Connect an extraction hose to the outlet and attach it to a suitable vacuum cleaner.
Maintenance and Safety
Keep the tool and ventilation slots clean for safe operation. Use only original Bosch sanding accessories. The battery should be protected from heat, fire, and moisture. If the battery is damaged, do not use it and consult a doctor if you experience any adverse effects.

Reduced operating time after charging
