Quick guide from the manual

This document provides essential instructions for the Bosch GHE 18V-50 TP cordless pole hedge trimmer. It is intended for trimming hedges and shrubs on the ground. Always wear appropriate personal protective equipment, including eye, ear, and head protection, and sturdy, non-slip footwear.

Assembly

Connect the hedge trimmer head and the telescopic handle until they are flush and secure them by tightening the wing bolt (4). Ensure both parts are properly mounted and locked. Attach the shoulder strap (13) to the strap loops (17)/(18) on the handles, ensuring the larger hook (11) is on the rear handle loop (18) and the smaller hook (14) is on the front handle loop (17).

Operation

To switch on, first slide the lock-off button (10) forward. Place your palm on the user presence switch (9) and press the On/Off switch (19). Keep both switches pressed during operation. To switch off, release both switches.

Working with the hedge trimmer

Check the hedge for large branches before trimming. It is recommended to cut branches thicker than 16 mm with scissors. Cut the sides of the hedge first, then the top. When cutting the sides, it is recommended to cut from bottom to top.

Maintenance and cleaning

Always remove the battery before any maintenance, transport, or storage. Lubricate the cutting blade with protective spray before and after use. If the trimmer is used for long periods, check and lubricate the blade to maintain performance. The cutting blade is a replaceable spare part.

Troubleshooting

If the hedge trimmer does not operate, check if the battery is discharged or not fully connected. If the trimmer operates intermittently, contact a service agent. If the motor runs but the blades remain stationary, or if there are excessive vibrations/noise, contact a service agent.
