Device Description

The GKS 12V-26 is a cordless circular saw designed for straight and miter cuts in wood. Key components include the battery, spindle lock, base plate, cutting depth scale, and protective guard.

Operation

Battery Installation: Slide the charged battery into the foot of the tool until it locks securely.

Cutting Depth Adjustment: Loosen the wing bolt, adjust the tool position relative to the base plate using the scale, and retighten the bolt.

Mitre Angle Adjustment: Loosen the wing bolt, tilt the saw to the desired angle on the scale, and retighten the bolt.

Switching On/Off: Press the lock-off button, then press and hold the on/off switch to start. Release the switch to stop.

Blade Replacement

  1. Remove the battery before any work on the tool.
  2. Press and hold the spindle lock button.
  3. Use the hex key to loosen the clamping bolt.
  4. Swing the retracting blade guard back and hold it.
  5. Remove the clamping flange and the saw blade.
  6. Install the new blade, ensuring the rotation direction matches the arrow on the protective guard.
  7. Tighten the clamping bolt securely (6–9 Nm).

Maintenance and Safety

Keep the tool and ventilation slots clean. Ensure the retracting blade guard moves freely and closes automatically. Clean resin or glue residue from the blade immediately after use. For repairs, contact an authorized Bosch service center.
