The Bosch GLI 12V-330 Professional is a cordless worklight designed for mobile, temporary illumination in dry indoor and outdoor areas. It is not intended for general room lighting.
Device Description
The worklight features a swiveling lamp head, a carabiner, a support stand, a magnetic mount, a utility hook, and a 1/4" tripod mount. The light source is non-replaceable; if it fails, the entire unit must be replaced.
Operation
Battery Installation: Insert a charged battery into the lamp head until it clicks into place.
Switching On/Off: Press the On/Off switch to turn the light on or off. To save energy, only switch it on when needed.
Adjusting Brightness: Press the On/Off switch briefly for maximum brightness. Hold the switch down to adjust between two brightness levels.
Temperature Protection: The light will automatically switch off if the heat sink temperature exceeds 50°C. Allow it to cool down before switching it back on.
Working Advice
- The light runs at reduced brightness when battery capacity drops to approximately 1.3%. It will flash 3 times before the brightness decreases.
- The lamp head can be swiveled up to 200° for various applications (e.g., as an uplight, for room illumination, or for floor lighting).
- If the tilt angle exceeds 90°, the worklight must be secured.
Mounting Options
- Utility Hook: Use to hang the light on an object.
- Carabiner: Use to attach the light to a rope or belt.
- Magnetic Mount: Use to attach to ferromagnetic surfaces. Be careful to avoid scratching delicate surfaces.
- Tripod Mount: Use the 1/4" thread to screw the light onto a tripod.
Maintenance and Cleaning
The worklight is maintenance-free. Clean the plastic lens only with a dry, soft cloth. Do not use cleaning agents or solvents.

Common problems
Light switches off automatically
The temperature-dependent overload protection has triggered (heat sink > 50°C). Allow the unit to cool down.
Reduced brightness
Battery capacity is low (approx. 1.3%). Recharge the battery.

- Ensure the battery is fully charged.
- Check that the battery is securely engaged in the lamp head.
- Verify the work area is dry.
- If using the magnetic mount, ensure the surface is ferromagnetic and the light is secure.
