Quick guide from the manual

This document provides essential instructions for operating the Bosch GNH 18V-64 and GNH 18V-64 M cordless wood nailers. Always remove the battery before performing adjustments, changing accessories, or storing the tool to prevent accidental activation.

Device Description

The tool is designed for connecting work in roofing, encasing, battening, and manufacturing wall/ceiling elements, wood facades, pallets, wood fences, noise-reduction walls, and boxes. It is not suitable for driving nails into metal or concrete.

Operation

Actuation Systems:

  • Single actuation with safety run: The discharge lock-off must be pressed against the workpiece before the trigger is pulled.
  • Contact actuation with automatic return (GNH 18V-64 M only): The trigger must be pulled and held first, then the discharge lock-off is pressed against the workpiece to fire.

Loading the Magazine:

  1. Clean the magazine slider and ensure the magazine is not contaminated.
  2. Insert a nail strip into the T-slot at the end of the magazine.
  3. Push the nail strip forward until the last nail is in front of the magazine spring.
  4. Press the pretensioned nail pusher against the magazine slider and pull the slider to the end of the magazine.
  5. Guide the slider forward until the nail pusher is over the last nail.

Adjusting Depth Stop

Use the thumbwheel to adjust the driving depth. Turn counter-clockwise to reduce depth (if nails are driven too deep) or clockwise to increase depth (if nails are not driven deep enough).

Maintenance and Cleaning

Regularly clean the magazine and magazine slider with compressed air to prevent jams. Ensure the discharge lock-off functions properly by cleaning its mechanism daily with compressed air.

Troubleshooting

If the tool is not ready for operation, check if the battery is charged, properly inserted, or if the magazine is empty. If the tool is ready but does not fire, check for jammed nails in the shot duct or foreign objects in the outlet.
