Quick guide from the manual
The Bosch GOP 185-LI Professional is a cordless multi-cutter designed for sawing, cutting, sanding, and scraping various materials like wood, plastic, plaster, and non-ferrous metals. Important: Always remove the battery before performing any maintenance, changing tools, or transporting the device to prevent accidental activation.
Device Description
The tool features an on/off switch, a battery release button, a speed preselection thumbwheel, and an SDS lever for tool-free accessory changes. It includes a worklight for better visibility and supports dust extraction when used with the sanding plate.
Assembly and Operation
- Battery: Insert the charged battery into the holder until it clicks. To remove, press the release button.
- Tool Change: Open the SDS lever fully to eject the accessory. Place the new accessory on the tool holder, ensuring the bent part faces downwards, and press it firmly until it locks automatically.
- Depth Stop: Slide the depth stop over the tool holder onto the collar and lock it with the clamping lever.
- Sanding: Attach the sanding sheet to the sanding plate using the hook-and-loop system. Ensure the holes in the sheet align with the plate's holes for dust extraction.
- Operation: Slide the on/off switch forward to turn on the worklight, and further forward to start the tool. Use the thumbwheel to preselect the oscillation rate based on the material (higher for hard materials, lower for soft).
Safety and Maintenance
Always wear personal protective equipment, including eye protection. Keep the tool and ventilation slots clean for safe operation. Regularly clean Riff accessories with a wire brush. For repairs, contact an authorized Bosch service center.
