Device Description
The GRT 18V-40 is a battery-powered garden tool designed for trimming and edge cutting of grass, light undergrowth, weeds, and nettles. It is intended for use on the ground.

Assembly and Operation











- Shaft assembly: Connect the shaft components as shown in figure C.
- Protection guard: Mount the protection guard (12) using the screw (15) as shown in figure D.
- Handle: Mount and adjust the handle (1) using the lever (7) as shown in figures F-H.
- Battery: Insert the charged battery (4) into the battery holder until it clicks into place (figure J).
- Trimming: Use the on/off switch (5) and the lock-off button (2) to operate the trimmer (figure K).
- Edge cutting: Use the lock-off button (3) for edge cutting (figure L).
- Line feeding: Use the Pro-Tap button (14) to release the cutting line (figure N).
- Anti-Tangle: The tool features an automatic anti-tangle function to clear blockages (figure O).
Maintenance and Storage
Always remove the battery before performing any maintenance, cleaning, or storage. Clean the product with a cloth; do not use solvents or water sprays. Store in a dry, secure place out of the reach of children.
Troubleshooting
If the motor does not start, check the battery charge level, ensure the battery is fully inserted, or check for grass wrapped around the spool. For heavy vibrations, check the cutting line and ensure the spool is correctly fitted.
