Device Description
The tool features a keyless chuck, torque presetting ring, gear selector, and an integrated LED light (PowerLight) for illuminating the work area.
Assembly and Preparation
- Battery Charging: The battery is supplied partially charged. Charge it fully in the recommended charger before first use.
- Inserting the Battery: Set the rotational direction switch to the center position to prevent accidental starting. Insert the charged battery into the handle until it engages.
- Changing the Tool: Remove the battery before any work on the tool. The drill spindle is locked when the On/Off switch is not pressed, allowing for easy tool changes in the keyless chuck.
Operation
- Rotational Direction: Use the rotational direction switch to change the direction. Right rotation for drilling/screwdriving; left rotation for loosening.
- Torque Setting: Use the torque presetting ring to select the required torque in 20 steps.
- Gear Selection: Use the gear selector to choose between two speed ranges. Only operate the gear selector when the machine is at a standstill.
- Switching On/Off: Press and hold the On/Off switch to start. Release it to switch off.
Maintenance and Safety
Always remove the battery before maintenance, transport, or storage. Keep the tool and ventilation slots clean for safe operation. If the battery is no longer functional, contact an authorized Bosch service center.

Tool does not start
Check if the battery is charged and correctly inserted. Ensure the rotational direction switch is not in the center position.
