The Bosch GWS 12V-76 is a cordless angle grinder designed for cutting metal, stone, plastic, composite materials, and wood, as well as for roughing metal without water. Always use the correct protective guard for the specific application.

Safety instructions
- Always wear safety goggles.
- Ensure the protective guard is securely attached and adjusted for maximum safety.
- Do not use damaged accessories; inspect them before each use.
- Maintain a firm grip and proper body position to resist kickback forces.
- Use the tool only for its intended purpose; do not use it for sanding, wire brushing, or polishing.
Assembly
Before any work on the tool (maintenance, tool change, etc.), remove the battery. To mount the protective guard, insert the cutting guard (10) onto the grinding guard (7) until it clicks. To mount abrasive tools, clean the grinding spindle (8), push the spindle lock button (2) forward, and turn the tool to lock the spindle. Use the hex key (13) to secure the clamping bolt with washer (11).

Operation
To start the tool, push the on/off switch (3) forward. To lock it, push the switch forward and down until it clicks. To switch off, release the switch or press it briefly backward and down. If the tool becomes electrostatically charged, the electronics will switch it off; press the switch again to restart.
Maintenance and cleaning
Always keep the tool and ventilation slots clean for safe operation. Remove the battery before any maintenance work.

Common problems
The tool may be overloaded or the battery temperature is out of range. Switch off, let the battery cool down, and restart.
The tool is blocked. Pull it out of the workpiece and it will continue to work once the blockage is cleared.
Battery temperature is too high. Switch off the tool and let the battery cool down.
Before use
- Check that the abrasive tool is correctly mounted and can turn freely.
- Perform a test run of at least 1 minute without load.
- Ensure the protective guard is correctly installed and adjusted.
- Check the battery charge level.
- Ensure the workpiece is securely clamped.
