This manual provides essential safety and operating instructions for the Bosch GWS 18V-10 and GWS 18V-10 P Professional angle grinders. Always read the full safety warnings before use. The tool is intended for cutting, brushing, and roughing metal, stone, plastic, and composite materials, as well as drilling in stone with diamond core cutters without water.
Safety
Always wear personal protective equipment, including safety goggles. Ensure the protective guard is correctly mounted and adjusted to minimize exposure to the operator. Do not use the tool for polishing. Always check abrasive tools for damage before use; perform a test run for at least one minute without load.
Assembly
Protective Guard: Place the guard on the holder until the coding cams align. Press and hold the unlocking lever, press the guard onto the spindle collar, and rotate until it clicks into place. Adjust the position by pressing the unlocking lever upward.

Auxiliary Handle: Screw the handle onto the right or left side of the gear head. Do not operate the tool without the auxiliary handle.
Mounting Abrasive Tools: Clean the grinding spindle and all parts to be fitted. Lock the spindle using the spindle lock button. Use the quick-clamping nut to secure the disc without additional tools. Ensure the printed side of the quick-clamping nut does not face the grinding disc.
Operation
Switching On/Off (GWS 18V-10): Push the on/off switch forward. To lock, press the front of the switch down until it clicks. To switch off, release the switch or press the back of the switch down.
Switching On/Off (GWS 18V-10 P): Push the unlocking lever forward and then push the on/off switch up. To switch off, release the switch.
Kickback and Impact Shutdown: The tool features electronic kickback control and impact shutdown (if dropped). To restart after a shutdown, set the switch to the off position and switch on again.
Maintenance
Remove the battery before any work on the tool (maintenance, tool change, etc.) and for transport/storage. Keep the tool and ventilation slots clean for safe operation.

The tool may have been electrostatically charged or triggered a safety feature (kickback/impact). Set the switch to off and switch on again.
