The Bosch GIC 12V-4-23 C Professional is a digital inspection camera designed for inspecting dark or hard-to-reach areas. It can also be used to move or remove small, light objects (e.g., small screws) when the supplied accessories are attached to the camera head.
Device description
The device consists of a handheld unit with a display and control buttons, and a detachable camera cable with a camera head containing an illumination light and lens.
Assembly
Power supply: The camera can be operated with a Bosch Li-ion battery, standard non-rechargeable batteries, or NiMH rechargeable batteries using the provided battery adapter.


Battery adapter operation: Slide the battery adapter cover into the port. Insert batteries according to the diagram on the cap. Slide the cap over the cover until it clicks into place.
Battery operation: Slide the charged Li-ion battery into the port until it clicks into place.
Camera cable: Push the camera cable connector into the camera connection on the handheld device until it clicks into place.
Accessories: The mirror, hook, or magnet can be pushed onto the camera head until they reach the stop.
Operation
Switching on/off: Press the On/Off button or the centre button to switch on. Press and hold the On/Off button to switch off. The device will automatically switch off after a set time if no buttons are pressed.
Light regulation: Press the left or right button to adjust the brightness of the camera head light.
Zoom: Press the up or down button to adjust the magnification level.
Main menu: Press the centre button to access the main menu. Use the up/down buttons to scroll, the centre or right button to enter submenus, and the centre button to confirm selections.
Maintenance and cleaning
Keep the inspection camera clean. Clean the camera lens regularly and check for lint. Do not immerse the handheld device in water or other liquids. The internal coin cell must only be replaced by Bosch or an authorized service centre.
Troubleshooting
- Internal memory almost full/full: Delete files from the internal memory.
- Error in internal memory: Restart the inspection camera. If the problem persists, contact an authorized Bosch after-sales service centre.
