Quick guide from the manual
This document provides essential information for the safe and efficient operation of the Bosch Professional 18V-85 C drill/driver. Always ensure the battery is removed before performing any maintenance, changing tools, or transporting the device to prevent accidental activation.

Device Description
The tool is designed for driving and loosening screws, as well as drilling in wood, metal, ceramic, and plastic. The GSB model is additionally designed for impact drilling in brick, masonry, and stone.
Assembly
Battery Charging: Use only the chargers listed in the technical data. The battery is supplied partially charged; fully charge it before first use. The Li-ion battery is protected against deep discharge by Electronic Cell Protection (ECP).
Auxiliary Handle: Always use the tool with the auxiliary handle (4). To mount, turn the lower gripping end anticlockwise, pull back the intermediate piece (5), slide the handle over the chuck, release the intermediate piece, and retighten the handle.
Drilling Depth: Use the depth stop (3) to set the required drilling depth X by loosening the wing bolt (6) and adjusting the stop.
Operation
Rotational Direction: Use the rotational direction switch (16) to change the direction. Right rotation for drilling and driving screws; left rotation for loosening screws and nuts.
Operating Modes: Use the mode selector switch (8) to choose between Drilling, Screwdriving, or Impact Drilling (GSB model only).
Speed and Torque: Adjust speed by varying pressure on the on/off switch (17). Use the torque presetting ring (7) to select the required torque in 25 stages for screwdriving.
KickBack Control: This feature provides better control and user protection by shutting off the tool if it suddenly rotates around the drilling axis. A flashing LED indicates activation.
Maintenance and Cleaning
Always keep the power tool and ventilation slots clean for safe and efficient operation. Remove the battery before any maintenance work.
