This document provides essential instructions for the Bosch ROTAK 18V2-38 and ROTAK 18V2-43 cordless lawn mowers. It covers initial setup, battery handling, operation, and maintenance. Always ensure the battery is removed before performing any maintenance or cleaning to prevent accidental startup.

Assembly and Operation
Follow the assembly steps provided in the manual for your specific model (ROTAK 18V2-38 or 18V2-43). Ensure the handle is correctly unfolded or mounted and the working height is adjusted before use. The grass box should be assembled and attached as shown in the diagrams.

Battery Handling
Use only the chargers specified in the technical data. Lithium-ion batteries are supplied partially charged. For optimal performance, fully charge the battery before the first use. Check the charge level using the LEDs on the battery. Store the battery separately from the mower in a temperature range of -20 °C to 50 °C.
Operation and Mulching
To start the mower, follow the specific instructions for your model. For mulching, remove the grass box and insert the mulch adapter into the ejection opening. The best time to mulch is late afternoon when the grass is dry. Set the cutting height to remove about one-third of the grass blade length (10-20 mm).
Maintenance and Troubleshooting
Keep the mower and ventilation slots clean. If the motor does not start, check if the battery is charged, correctly inserted, or if the motor protection has been triggered. If the cutting pattern is irregular, check the cutting height and the condition of the blade. If the blade is blunt or damaged, replace it. Always wear gardening gloves when handling the blade.

Technical Data
The mower operates on a 36V (2 x 18V) system. Cutting widths are 38 cm (ROTAK 18V2-38) and 43 cm (ROTAK 18V2-43). Cutting height is adjustable between 30-75 mm.
