This document provides essential instructions for the Bosch GBH 18V-26 and GBH 18V-26 F Professional cordless rotary hammers. It covers safety, setup, operation, and maintenance. Always ensure the battery is removed before performing any maintenance or tool changes.

Device Description
The tool is designed for hammer drilling in concrete, brick, and stone, as well as light chiseling. It is also suitable for drilling without impact in wood, metal, ceramic, and plastic. Models with electronic control and right/left rotation are also suitable for screwdriving.
Assembly
Always use the auxiliary handle (19) and ensure it is securely tightened. For the GBH 18V-26 F, the chuck can be changed between the SDS-plus chuck (2) and the keyless quick-change chuck (1). For the GBH 18V-26, a keyed chuck (22) can be mounted using the SDS-plus adapter shank (23).
Operation
Select the operating mode using the impact/mode selector switch (16). Options include hammer drilling, drilling without impact, Vario-Lock (for adjusting chisel position), and chiseling. Use the rotational direction switch (11) to change the direction of rotation; always set to clockwise for drilling and chiseling.
Maintenance and Cleaning
Keep the tool and ventilation slots clean for safe operation. Replace a damaged dust protection cap (4) immediately. Clean the tool holder (3) after each use.
Safety
Wear ear protection. Use auxiliary handles if supplied. Hold the tool by insulated gripping surfaces when performing operations where the cutting accessory may contact hidden wiring.
