The Bosch GBH 185-LI Professional is a cordless rotary hammer designed for hammer drilling in concrete, brick, and stone, as well as light chiseling. It is also suitable for drilling without impact in wood, metal, ceramic, and plastic, and for screwdriving.

Battery handling

Use only the chargers listed in the technical data. Lithium-ion batteries are supplied partially charged. Fully charge the battery before first use. The battery features a charge indicator; press the button to check the charge level.

Tool mounting and operation

  • Auxiliary handle: Always use the auxiliary handle (16) and ensure it is securely tightened.
  • Tool change: Use the SDS plus tool holder (2) for easy tool changes. For tools without SDS plus, use the keyed chuck (19).
  • Operating modes: Use the impact/mode selector switch (13) to select between hammer drilling, drilling without impact, and chiseling.
  • Drilling depth: Use the depth stop (17) to set the required drilling depth.
  • Safety features: The tool is equipped with an overload clutch and KickBack Control for user protection.

Maintenance and safety

Always remove the battery before performing any work on the tool. Keep the tool and ventilation slots clean. Replace a damaged dust protection cap immediately. For fall protection, use the designated attachment area (23) and a suitable fall protection system (24), but never attach it to the suspension strap mounting (6).
