This document provides essential instructions for the safe and proper use of the Bosch UniversalGrassCut 18V-26 and 18V-260 grass trimmers. Always ensure the battery is removed before performing any assembly, adjustment, or cleaning tasks.

Assembly

Mounting the protection guard: Slide the guard onto the trimmer head until it clicks, then secure it with the provided screw.

Adjusting working height: Press the height adjustment button to set the trimmer to your desired height.

Folding the handle: Press the handle adjustment button to unfold the handle until it locks into place.

Mounting the wheel: Attach the wheel to the trimmer head, ensuring the hooks engage properly, and rotate until the lever clicks into place.

Operation

Charging the battery: Insert the battery into the charger. The charger will automatically detect the battery's state and charge it optimally. Refer to the charger's LED indicators to monitor the charging process.

Switching on/off: Press the lock-off button, then press and hold the on/off switch to operate. Release the switch to stop.

Trimming modes: Use the foot pedal to adjust the trimmer head angle for lawn trimming (48°), edge cutting (36°), or trimming under bushes (24°).

Maintenance and Care

Always keep the tool and ventilation slots clean. Do not spray with water or immerse in water. Store in a dry, secure place out of reach of children. Regularly check the spool and cutting line. If the line breaks or the spool is empty, follow the instructions in the manual to replace or rewind the line.

Troubleshooting

If the motor does not start, check if the battery is charged or if it is too hot/cold. If the tool functions intermittently, contact Bosch customer service. If the tool labors, cut the grass in stages.
