The Broan 15WT is a 15-inch wide trash compactor designed for residential use. It requires a dedicated 15 Amp circuit for operation. For freestanding installations, a toe kick kit (Model 15TCTK) is required. The unit features a safety interlock that prevents compaction when the door is open and a removable key switch to prevent unauthorized use.

Practical help
Common problems
Unit will not compact trash
Ensure the door is fully closed to engage the safety interlock. Check that the key switch is in the correct position.
Unpleasant odors
Ensure the manual advance odor control system is active and replace the odor control disk (Model 15TCOD) if necessary.
Unit is unstable or uneven
Adjust the two front leveling legs and two rear rollers to achieve up to 1 inch of height adjustment.
Before use
- Verify a dedicated 15 Amp circuit is available.
- Ensure the installation location meets the minimum height requirement of 34 1/8 inches.
- If installing as a freestanding unit, purchase and install the 15TCTK toe kick kit.
- Check that the trash bucket is properly inserted and the door gasket is clean for a tight seal.
- Ensure the odor control disk is installed.
