This document provides essential instructions for operating the Chefman 14-CUP coffee maker. It covers the basic brewing process, how to customize the keep-warm function, and how to set up a delayed brew cycle.

Basic Brewing Preparation

1. Unlock Carafe Lid: Turn the locking knob counter-clockwise to unlock and lift the lid.
2. Fill Water: Fill the carafe with water, then pour it into the reservoir after removing the reservoir lid. Replace the reservoir lid.
3. Positioning: Place the carafe on the heating plate under the brew head.
4. Filter and Coffee: Insert the filter basket into the brew chamber. Use EITHER the reusable filter OR a disposable paper filter, NOT both. Add ground coffee.
5. Close: Push the brew chamber lid down until you feel the magnets secure it.
6. Brew: Press the Brew | Stop button to start brewing.
7. Completion: The unit will beep when finished and enter Keep Warm mode for 2 hours by default. Press Brew | Stop to turn off the keep-warm function early.

Customizing Keep-Warm Settings

You can adjust the duration and temperature of the keep-warm function:

• Press the Settings button while in Standby mode.
• Press Keep Warm to enter the customization menu.
• Temperature: Press Temp, then use the + and - buttons to select level 1, 2, or 3 (3 is the hottest).
• Duration: Press Time, use H and M to toggle between hours and minutes, and use + and - to adjust the time from 15 minutes to 4 hours.
• Press Settings again to confirm and exit.

Delayed Brewing

1. Ensure the clock is set to the current time.
2. Press the Brew Later button; "Starts at" will illuminate.
3. Use the + and - buttons to set the desired brew start time (ensure AM/PM is correct).
4. Press Brew Later again to confirm; the light will turn solid.
5. To use daily, press Brew Later twice each day to activate.
