This document provides essential instructions for operating the Chefman Caffeinator Drip 14-Cup Coffee Maker. It covers the basic brewing process, customizing keep-warm parameters, and using the programmable timer.

Setting up a basic brew

1. Remove the carafe lid by turning the locking knob counter-clockwise.
2. Fill the carafe with water, then pour it into the reservoir and replace the reservoir lid.
3. Place the carafe on the heating plate under the brew head.
4. Insert the filter holder into the brew chamber. Use either the reusable filter or a disposable paper filter (do not use both). Add ground coffee.
5. Push the brew chamber lid down until the magnets connect.
6. Press the Brew | Stop button to start brewing.
7. The unit will beep when finished and enter Keep Warm mode automatically.

Customizing Keep Warm Time and Temperature

The coffee maker defaults to 2 hours at the highest temperature. To adjust these settings:

• Press the Settings button while in Standby mode.
• Press the Keep Warm button.
• Temperature: Press Temp, then use the + and - buttons to select level 1, 2, or 3 (3 is the hottest).
• Duration: Press Time, use H and M to toggle between hours and minutes, and use + and - to set a duration between 15 minutes and 4 hours.
• Press Settings again to confirm and exit.

Setting Up Brew Later

Ensure the clock is set to the current time before using this feature.

1. Press the Brew Later button; the words "Starts at" will illuminate.
2. Use the + and - buttons to set the desired start time (ensure AM/PM is correct).
3. Press Brew Later again to confirm; the indicator will stop blinking.
4. To use this function daily, press the Brew Later button twice each day to activate it with your previous settings.
